I have had amazing news this week as I have been voted one of the top ten bloggers of 2014 ( yes I know it is only 2013), on the site Skelat and I am so excited and honoured by this news that I had to share it with you
I hope to receive some votes, although I am up against some stiff competition. Also, some of those in the running with me are also friends of mine, which makes this doubly difficult
From a family of avid readers, even as a child I always had a passion for books. Whether it was reading novels on road trips or writing assignments in school, literature was always part of my life.
In the winter of 2000, after sustaining a season ending eye injury while playing professional hockey in Oklahoma City. I found myself with a lot of time on my hands, and a new hobby emerged.
I didn't write with the intention of being published. I wrote for the love of writing, through the years, honing my craft, making time between work and family obligations.
Then I made the decision to take my interest one step further. I've never been one to take things lightly or jump in half way. I took a full year off from writing to study my craft.
Blog a list of Bio's and links to other Blogs and pages

Tag! You're an Author and You're "IT"
You may know this game, but not played in quite this manner before. So, Tag you're the author who is now "IT". To play this game you have to share your Work in Progress (WIP) or it's a smacked bottom and straight to bed with no supper! Alexandria Szeman tagged me, and these are the rules
I have been nominated for the Liebster Award! Thanks to fellow author Mike Lambson for the nomination
As required by the Liebster nominee , I've posted the Liebster Award on my blog post and will provide a link back to the nominator's Blog (done!!) Next, I need to list 11 random facts about me, then answer the 11 questions asked by the person who nominated me.
Once that is done, I proceed to nominate 11 bloggers to follow after me, and come up with 11 new questions for them. I post everything on my blog with the hope of bringing new readers to it. (Gawd I hope so!)
Well you beautiful people the first draft of the first chapter of my book has finally been dispatched to my beta readers and also to a couple of my author friends. So, just awaiting their critique and proof reading at this moment in time. As you may imagine I am understandably nervous too, but positive thoughts.
So a big shout out to The Orchard Book Club, Lisa Rumblelow, Rachel Brightey and Sheree for undertaking my beta reading, and also being so enthusiastic and supportive of myself.
Since sending out the initial draft I have already reworked my manuscript and improved and expanded this piece of work
Hello and come on in...
Today I would like to share a little more of the world my characters inhabit and also paint a picture for you of one of the main characters.
From the title you may have a picture in your mind's eye.
Let me now pull you in and experience the colourful world for yourselves.
The novel and the prophecy therein revolves around a number of characters. Alex (Alexandria ) is the main protagonist and the heroine of the series. The heroes are multiple and include three werewolves and a dragon rider! and his dragon. A magnificent beast of a dragon he is, and he is known as Talos.
Well Hello again
I was recently asked to expand on the subject of Steampunk and to explain a little bit more about what is meant by this term. Therefore after giving this some thought I believe that some examples of this genre may be useful.
The first novels (that I am aware of) to include what is now considered to be Steampunk are those of Jules Verne 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and those of H. G. Wells such as The Time Machine. These are now considered the epitome of this genre.
